Deck the Halls with Greenery

Select fresh cedar, spruce or evergreen and bring those natural seasonal scents inside. Arrange a cedar garland on your mantle, or layer boughs of evergreen on your dining table. Use your imagination with any fragrant holiday foliage.

Light Your Favorite Scented Candle

Few other things on this list are this simple. Choose your favorite Christmas scent, and light one or more candles to fill your home with cinnamon, fresh-baked cookies, pine and more! It’s so easy you can allow everyone in your home to pick their own!

Diffuse Seasonal Essential Oils

If you prefer a more natural aroma, choose among seasonal essential oils or mix your own, such as myrrh, cypress, sweet juniper berry, cinnamon bark and tangy wild orange, to diffuse. Fill a spray bottle with distilled water and add a few drops of oil for room spray.

Create Natural Pomander Balls

Use whole cloves and press them into oranges to create pomanders that emit a rich holiday scent. It’s an easy Christmas craft for kids too!. Once they are done, hang the pomanders, tuck them along the mantle garland or place a few on your holiday table.

Bake Something Sweet

Create a Dried-Fruit Wreath

Use dehydrated fruits, such as grapefruits, oranges, lemons and limes to make a fragrant natural wreath. Slice the fruits, and dust them with a fine layer of glitter once dried. Arrange them on a foam wreath form, and hang above your fireplace (if possible).

Update Hand Soaps for the Season

Replace your usual hand soaps and sanitizers with holiday-scented ones. With so many varieties available, you can get a burst of Christmas scent when you wash your hands with peppermint, pine, cinnamon or more!

Make Your Own Potpourri

Take dried flowers, leaves and greenery and mix with holiday-scented essential oils. Add this potpourri to vases or decorative bowls, and place them throughout your home. You could even tuck some into sachets to give your clothes or linens a subtle seasonal scent.

Create Perfumed Pine Cones

Collect pine cones from your yard for this easy craft. Make sure you wash and dry them, then spray with vanilla, citrus or cinnamon-scented oils. Allow them to sit in a plastic back to ensure they soak up the fragrance. Use them as holiday decor in your home!
